Veterinary Surgeon

Katy DVM MRCVS

Katy qualified in the USA as a vet in 2000. She relocated to the UK in 2022 and joined the 24 Hour Vetcare Team. Katy is an experienced night vet and brings her extensive experience and dedication to the pets of south London and surrounding areas.

Animals have always figured prominently in her life, mostly horses. She grew up riding in New Mexico, and carried that passion through her university years in Texas, where she attained a degree in Physics and worked briefly for NASA. On the whim suggestion of a colleague, she applied and was accepted into veterinary school in Colorado.

Her professional life took her to California, initially featuring Dairy and Equine medicine. She first started working on small animals for charity animal welfare organisations in 2006, but she continued occasionally vetting horses until 2021.

Katy:

Our emergency team Alan, Katy and Rachel are highly skilled vets, hand selected for their compassion and ability to go above and beyond for patient care.
