Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Enrico (DVM, MRCVS, GPCertSAS)

Qualified from the University of Camerino in 2009, Enrico has developed his clinical and surgical expertise through years of collaboration with advanced practitioners and specialists across multiple disciplines, working in different veterinary practices and hospitals in Italy and the UK. He holds a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and is officially recognised by the RCVS as an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery.

His professional focus includes:
• Small animal soft tissue, oncologic, and orthopaedic surgery
• A strong interest in radiology, endoscopy (both medical and surgical)
• Avian and wildlife medicine and surgery

Since 2015, he has been part of the team at Briar House Veterinary Surgery, where he manages complex surgical cases—both internal and external referrals—and contributes actively to the development and growth of the clinic.

Enrico is passionate about supporting colleagues in their professional development. He tutors veterinarians pursuing postgraduate qualifications in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and also serves as a VetGDP adviser to guide newly qualified vets during their Veterinary Graduate Development Programme.

Passionate about conservation, Enrico collaborates with charities to rehabilitate and release endangered wildlife species.

As an Official Veterinarian (OV) for APHA, he is authorised for both small animal AHCs and avian EHCs!

Always committed to delivering high standards of care, he regularly attends national and international congresses to stay current with surgical techniques and clinical advancements.

Leanne MRCVS

Our very own brilliant home grown Veterinary Surgeon Leanne has returned to her roots after 10 years practising in London and Australia.  Yes, Leanne grew up and was educated right here in Broadstairs before leaving to study at the Royal College in London, graduating in 2010.

With over 10 years experience in treating sick pets, Leanne has an extremely broad level of knowledge in first opinion veterinary medicine and excels in her skill for high level ultrasound.  Though an immensely competent practitioner in the field of small animal medicine, Leanne harbours a deep passion for soft tissue surgery and can often be found in theatre with our Advanced Surgeon Enrico, increasing her expertise!

Leanne immensely enjoys being a part of our experienced hospital team, discussing and advising on complex cases being hospitalised within our popular surgery.

In her spare time Leanne loves spending time with her family and enjoys pilates, yoga and horse riding.  A return to the Kent Coast to practice was the perfect choice.
